What we collect, and why
When you contact us. The Contact Us form asks for your name, email and message, so we can write back. That's all it's used for.
When you post a community event. The Free Printable-Flyer has two parts:
- The public part (your group's name, the event, where and when, and any contact you choose to show) appears on your flyer and on your community's page once we approve it.
- The private "About you" part (your name, phone, email and mailing address) is never shown on the website or the flyer. We use it only to check the event is real and to reach you about it.
Business listings. A listing shows a business's name, phone number, home community and category, like the phone book always did. Most of it comes from the business's own public Google Business Profile. Businesses can ask us to correct their listing, hide their map pin, or remove it.
"Use My Location." If you tap it, your browser asks your permission first. Your location is used once, to find the nearest community, and we don't save it.
Cookies
Visitors get no cookies from us. The only cookie we use is a login ticket for the site owner's private pages. We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or visitor-tracking tools.
Other services we use
A few trusted services help the site work. When your browser uses them, they may see basic information like your internet address, under their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts for the lettering on our pages.
- Google Maps, only when you tap a 📍 to open a map or a business's Google card.
- Open-Meteo for the weather. It's sent the community's location, not yours.
- Our web host, which keeps standard server records, as every website does.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, ever.
Keeping it safe
Private information is kept out of sight in our database and is never shown on public pages. We take reasonable care to protect it, but no website can promise perfect security, so please share only what's needed.
Children
WeLoveCommunity.com is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us something, let us know and we'll remove it.
Fixing or removing your information
Want your event taken down, your listing corrected, or your private details deleted? Use our Contact Us page, and we'll take care of it promptly.
Changes to this policy
As WeLoveCommunity.com grows (for example, a weekly community email), we'll update this page and the date at the top. Using the site after a change means you're okay with the updated policy.
